MarXDisCap

Description

MarxDisCap is the name of a new power converter family under development within the FPC section. Its name stands for Marx-based and capacitor discharge topology. This is a novel topology and is intended to replace all ageaing capacitor discharge power converters used in the PS complex as well as AD experiment. This project is part of the effort to eradicate G64 controls under the Consolidation project. Due to the age of the power part, it is absolutely necessary to consolidate the power part as well.

The main design concept consists in creating a modular topology which can be used for all bumper and septa magnets for the injection and ejection regions. More information will be available soon.
